FlowChat's Channels feature provides organized, persistent workspaces for team collaboration, similar to Discord or Slack but purpose-built for AI-assisted work.

What Are Channels?

Channels are dedicated spaces where you can:

  • Group related conversations together
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Organize work by project, department, or topic
  • Maintain persistent chat history
  • Share context across team members

Channel Types

Private Channels

  • Only invited members can access
  • Perfect for sensitive projects or personal organization
  • Direct messages between users

Direct Messages (DMs)

  • A private conversation between two users
  • No one else can see the conversation
  • Perfect as a WhatsApp alternative

Working in Channels

Starting a Channel

  1. Navigate to the Channels section
  2. Click "New Channel"
  3. Set name, description, and visibility
  4. Invite team members (if team channel)
  5. Start collaborating
